2999- cont.

I can’t wait till tonight being able to live in this era is amazing. My friends and I are actually having a virtual hologram pajama party tonight. That is a pajama party with your hologram friends not a party with virtual pajamas. That trend went out faster than it came in. What were they thinking? I guess we can just attribute it to the 60’s, I’m glad I wasn’t there to witness everyone wearing them. Although my dad pulls his out every so often. It weirds me out. Ok, enough with virtual pants. This party is going to be a blast! Movies a dance party and the best part is of course the countdown. Everyone has their own space and their own food but it’s like all my friends are there with me. The only thing that I’m worried about is the lag. Dealing with communicating with one person works fine if there is a little bit of lag. However, with multiple people if everyone has a different time lag it will get frustrating but I guess we will all find out tonight. Anyway I should go get ready for tonight, only an hour away!

Thanks for reading my version of the year 2999 as a teen reflecting on things to come and a few things of the past.

2999 - continued.

To pass the time maybe I’ll run around town with my friends. We all have our hoverboard licenses now so this would be the perfect opportunity to create a little havoc around town. All I can think about though are all the new things that are going to happen in this shift to one unified network. They are taking the downtime and using it to upgrade a few things on our United Networks, which is what we are going to start calling it now instead of satellite or cable. Apparently they are adding several 3-D channels and finally making the network compatible with 4-D home theaters that everyone and their mom started putting in their homes nearly a decade ago. Before this, the experience was only enjoyed through limited edition movies. Though not all shows will have these features, for instance you will be able to ride along with cops, or test myths with the myth-busters. Even though we are only minutes away from the year 3000, smell-o-vision has still not been invented, which is a shame, or a blessing, probably the latter. Maybe that’s why, maybe it’s already been invented and it was just a horrible idea so they scrapped it?

2999

It's the year 2999 and today's date is December 31. The last day all the hologram TVs will be run by satellites. In this day and age real estate in outer space is very precious, so all the communication satellites are going to be eliminated except for one in order to make more room for our military. This I hear will help the United States establish a better space presence, but that's only hear say. How will we be able to watch our favorite shows you ask? Well, with a sole satellite still in orbit, that's all we need anymore. After the free internet movement all the internet providers improved their towers and combined to form a national level of blazing internet speeds. Now even if you are out in the middle of the dessert you will still be able to get a signal. All because of a unified network. The only issue I have with this is that the system will be down for at least 48 hours if not more for this crossover. I just don't know what I will do with my self for that long!

In my next post I will talk more about the day before the year 3000. Thanks for taking the time to read!
